Meet some of our church officers
Rachel (Rev Dr Rachel Pennant) joined us in May 2016. She, and her husband, Julian, who is a Science teacher, have three children who attend local schools. Her experience of coming to know God’s love through the ministry of local churches changed her life.
Rachel’s prayer is that our church would be used to shine God’s love into the lives of many people in Hoddesdon. Rachel loves making links with the local community and can often be seen out and about on her bike or walking through the town centre - do stop to say hello if you see her.
Kate joined us at the end of June 2019.
More details will be posted shortly.
Neil has been worshipping at our church for over 30 years and has been a Lay Reader since 2006. ‘It was friendly and welcoming and we quickly felt as being part of the church family here’ says Neil.
Before retiring from full time work in 2015 he was a Librarian responsible for library services to older people and was once introduced as 'the older person's librarian'.
He is married to Gill and they have two children who, he says, have the musical talent that he lacks. Neil’s hobbies include railways and trying to keep fit (very badly!).
Neil is involved in the local community as a School Governor and is a Member of Broxbourne Council.
Jacqui is married to Alan and has two daughters. She moved to the area in 1988, and started attending the Church in a year later.
Jacqui says “The Church is my second family, a welcoming place where I have grown as a Christian and been supported in prayer. I have had the pleasure of being involved in many community projects, including helping with EARLY BIRDS, the mother and toddler group, Early Birds.”
