We are delighted that Revd Mark Escott will be joining as our new vicar in September 2024.
Mark’s Institution, Induction and Installation will be taking place in the church on Saturday 7 September 2024 at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome to come along then.
JACQUI GIFFORD
Church Administrator
Jacqui is married to Alan and has two daughters. She moved to the area in 1988, and started attending the Church a year later.
Jacqui says “The Church is my second family, a welcoming place where I have grown as a Christian and been supported in prayer. I have had the pleasure of being involved in many community projects, including helping with the mother and toddler group, Early Birds.”
Sue joined the church with her husband John in August 2021.
She is a retired Midwife and gained a degree in Biblical and Intercultural Studies at All Nations Christian College in 2019.
Sue has worked with the Anglican Church in Paraguay and families in Northeast London. She enjoys attending classical concerts, is a member of an amateur orchestra and grows organic vegetables.
She enjoys getting to know and working with local families through a series of indoor and outdoor events. She has always had a passion for looking after the environment and encouraging others to be involved.
Sue says "I love our beautiful churchyard and how it can be enjoyed by the whole community through the public access and with various events held here."

Family Link Worker
As our pastoral enabler, Diana coordinates the Hear4U Listening Team and Bereavement Support. She also coordinates the Pastoral Care Team for the church and runs a Home Group.
She moved to Hoddesdon and joined our church with her husband, John in 2017. She is a retired Director of Public Health, and now sees it as her mission to link church and community to improve quality of life for people.
DIANA FORREST

Church Warden
Linda joined the church in 1980 and was confirmed in 1981. At one time she worked in in the City for a merchant bank, now known as Deutsche Bank. She enjoys swimming, Pilates, baking, gardening and reading.
She is married to Alan and says “we have one son and three lovely grandchildren who have brought us so much joy”.
JOHN EVERETT
Church Warden
John has been a member of the church for over thirty years. He has been a member of the church choir since joining and for a while he helped to run a Junior Choir.
In his career days he worked all over the world installing and repairing machines in the automotive industry.
He is married to Julia who is also a member of the Church. They have two children and two grandchildren.
